Online Research

No other medium has been subject to quite the same sort of worldwide dynamic development at such as speed as the Internet. And Austria was in the race from the beginning with an impressive growth rate: Whilst in 1996 only 9% of the population made use of the Internet, currently 67% of all Austrians do so with the figure being as high as 75% for the population sub-group of 14 to 59 year olds.

At a very early stage, GfK Austria identified not only the general importance of the Internet market but also the attraction of the Internet as a tool for carrying out surveys (online interviews or CAWI - Computer Assisted Web Interviewing ››), and went on to realise the possibilities and develop them further.

Nowadays, the online methods are, alongside face-to-face and telephone interviewing, an additional and self-evident form of survey instrument which can be used in very many different ways, not only with regard to the subject matter but also in terms of the target groups to be approached.

Up-to-date know how and many years of experience also enable us to offer the forward-looking possibilities of online research in all its forms at a high standard of quality for the benefit of our clients.
On-line research is used at GfK Austria in all market sectors for a wide variety of subjects and target groups:
